2020 Summer Musical Theatre Program

Our popular Summer Musical Theatre program is in it’s 14th year. In fact, this is where Vanilla Box Productions began. Offering quality and fun instruction in musical theater resulting in a top-notch show. Of course, the shows have gotten bigger and bigger thru the years. In 2019, we premiered “Matilda, the musical”. This full scale show featured a cast of 25, “magic” chalk and swings on stage!

We are continuing our history of presenting new versions of shows or area premiers. Our program for 5th graders and up (Centerstage) is no different in 2020. We will be working on “Head over the Heels”; the recent Broadway musical which features the song book of the 80’s group “The Go-Go’s”.

A typical day has performers taking 3 classes (music, dance, acting) and having a recreation period in the morning. The afternoon is spent rehearsing the show. We make sure there is lots of fun in our fast-paced process too.

Our Four-week, Full-day summer program begins June 22 and ends July 19 (which includes performances)

We are offering our “Downstage” program as well this year. The “Downstage” program accepts young performers entering the 2nd grade and up. The show is TBD (based on enrollment).

This program is a Two-week, Full-day summer program. It begins June 22 and ends on July 3, with a performance at 6:00pm

The daily schedule is exactly the same as the “Centerstage” program. Daily classes are divided by age to allow us to focus activities according the correct age group.
